A Home victory! Our U10 girls were playing this morning against Lough derg in Ballinree. The commitment the girls have been giving over the last few weeks is paying off because they came out the better in this one. We played 3x 12 minute games and won 2 by and drew 1. We won the first 2-0 then a nil nil and lastly a 2-0. We held our positions very well throughout and this is what stood to us. We had Katie Hartnett in goals who was super when she was called on, we had Maeve Quinn, Elly Last and Sinead O'Meara in defence with Holly Fitzpatrick playing just in front of them. These 4 girls were brilliant and kept out Lough derg when they had to. We'd Callie Mitchell, Elsa Fitzgerald, Aisling Ryan, Elly Last in midfield and all these girls were very busy throughout. We then had Aoife Ryan and Ciara Grimmes up front with both girls doing really well also. Elsa Fitzgerald scored a beauty in the first game with Callie Mitchell scoring a fine goal also. In the third game it was Maeve Quinn who scored both goals rounding off a great performance by her. Well done to the girls!! Many thanks to Lough derg for a sporting game.
