A good win away to Killavilla. Our U11's were out this glorious evening for their second summer game. We were away to Killavilla in this one. We had a strong team out once again and we proved too strong for Killavilla on this occasion. We started very well and piled on lots of early pressure which was rewarded with a goal after five minutes, Dara Wyles the man that found the net. We were passing the ball around a good bit and lads were getting into great spaces and using the ball very well. This method was working for us and the brilliant KJ Dunne found himself in one of those good spaces to direct the ball to the Killavilla net. We soon found the net again with a superb Callum Ryan volley, it was beautifully struck!! It was all Ballymackey in the first half with the ever energetic Colm O'Brien and goal machine Dara Wyles scoring to put us 5-0 at the break. Killavilla really put us under pressure for the first half of the second period but we held our lines well to keep them out. We then scored again giving Dara Wyles a second hat-trick in two games!! The score of the game came from Killavilla though! Their number 7 hit a powerful shot from halfway to lob our solid goalkeeper Conall Hartnett. We scored once more through Matthew Bergin to end it 7-1 in our favour. Killavilla were much better than the score line and they had 16 lads for 9 places which meant they were rotating their team a bit too often and that probably unsettled things for them. We had Conall Hartnett in goals. Callum Ryan, James Mounsey and Colm O'Brien at full back. KJ Dunne in front of those and then we'd Ben Delaney, Sean McCarthy and Matthew Bergin in midfield with Dara Wyles and Charlie Cummins up front. This team can play soccer!!!
