Ballymackey U15 girls earned a great win at home to Holycross in the cup semi final with a 4 nil victory. It was tense affair which ebbed and flowed for the first 20 mins when Maeve Cunneen got onto an accurate cross from Clodagh Daly for the opener. It was 1-0 at half time.
The Ballymackey girls really settled in the second half and set up attack after attack and Maeve got onto a through ball from Eimhear Troy for her second goal Shortly after Maeve completed her hat-trick with an easy tap in from a Clodagh Daly free kick which hit both uprights before Maeve finished it. Great work from Lucy Gould and Maura Gleeson limited any chances Holycross had. A great ball from Chloe Whyte set up Clodagh Daly for a long range shot for the 4th of the game and a great victory for the Ballymackey girls. Each player were excellent today but with a hat-trick Maeve Cunneen was the player of the game.
