A 5-2 away win to Thurles Town saw Ballymackey Men's A team top of the NT&DL premier division. Ballymackey were well on top in the first half, but as has happened in recent games they failed to show their dominance where it counts on the scoreboard. A single goal was all they had to show for their efforts at the break, Aidan White on the mark with a super volley from an equally good Denis Haverty cross. Eamon White looked to have put daylight between the sides early in the second half when he put Ballymackey 2 up with a pile driver of a strike, but a huge lapse of concentration from the restart by the visitors saw them concede a penalty which was converted to put the game back in the melting pot. Ballymackey continued to create chances but worryingly Thurles were now looking dangerous in front of goal and with under 20 minutes remaining they found an equaliser. The introduction of Dylan Kennedy and Cian Russell saw Ballymackey wrestle back control of the match and Dylan squared for Aidan White to grab his second and restore a lead for Ballymackey. Dylan soon added a 4th himself and Thurles conceded a 5th with a own goal soon after and the game was well and truly beyond the home side. The scoreline does not reflect how uncomfortable an evening it was for the Ballymackey A's with the score tied with 15 remaining, but another 3 points was a great return from the trip to Thurles
