Ballymackey U13 girls had a hard fought 0-2 victory away to Borrisokane. We deserved the win but a well structured Borrisokane defense made it very difficult for us to break through. Maeve Cunneen got he opener half way through the first half, but Borrisokane had their chances only for great goal keeping from Mollie Ryan. Half way through the second half Eimhear Troy got on the end of a clearance to bulge the net and give the away team a cushion until the final whistle. A great performance from the Ballymackey girls who worked really hard and kept their patience and didn’t get flustered against a very good Borrisokane side. Today’s player of the game was Ailbhe Treacy who covered every blade of grass. Today’s panel consisted of Mollie Ryan, Jane Ryan, Lucy Gould, Ailbhe Treacy, Nickola Zarina, Maeve Cunneen, Seonaid McGuiggan, Kitty Murphy, Robyn O Dwyer, Kelly O Dwyer, Maura Gleeson, Eimhear Troy, Tara McCormack and Clodagh Daly. Well done girls. Maura , Maeve and Seonaid are missing from the picture due to Rugby, Football and Music. We do have a talented bunch of girls.
