Action photos from our under 17 National cup game today v Newport in Newport. The boys went down on a scoreline 3 2 after extra time. Despite losing Joseph and Nathan Kennedy in the first half hour of the game. With the game scoreless at half time the boys came out all guns blazing and raced into a two nil lead after 25 minutes with goals from Callum Collins and Adam Guilfoyle. Newport pulled one back 10 minutes from time and equalised with two minutes left. The game went into extra time and Ballymackey continued to press forward and were unfortunate not to be awarded a penalty in the first half of extra time. Newport took the lead three minutes into the second half but despite Ballymackey pressing forward they couldn't get the equaliser they deserved. Great effort by the boys today!!!!!
