Ballymackey U16 Girls lost 3-1 away to a strong Knigh United side. A very sluggish first half saw the girls 2 down at the break having played with a strong wind. A much better second half from the girls ,but it finished 3-1 to the home side. Andrea Brennan got our goal super work by Samantha Hogan saw the ball squared to Andrea who's first shot smashed off the underside of the crossbar but she made no mistake with the rebound to notch her first, long overdue goal for the club. A strong finish saw the girls have several good chances but the home side held strong to see the game out. Lots of learning and lots of positives in the second half for the girls and we had moments from Chelsea White and Devlyn Spillane in the middle of the field. We had stand out displays from Anna Grace who's handling was flawless throughout and Samantha Hogan, our player of the match with a warrior of a performance. The mentioned girls were well supported by Chloe McAuliffe, Maria Moroney, Kelsey Hogan, Tess O Donovan, Phoebe Sage, Katie Ryan and Ellie Troy.
