Ballymackey FC 10-0 Killavilla Utd
Opening match of the season for Ballymackey’s under 16’s major boys
A superb performance by our lads in what was a comprehensive victory over a Killavilla side that despite the score line never gave up.
There were some stand out performances on our side from Cormac Hogan in the middle of the park and Ben O’Dwyer & Mathew Coffey at the back in particular. Ballymackey led 3 nil at half time courtesy of goals from Dean Moloney, Colm Maher and Cormac Hogan.
Ballymackey came back out with the same intent in the second half and never took their foot off the gas scoring a further 7 goals through Dean Moloney (2), Seamus Connolly (2) Cormac Hogan, Sean Crosse and Jack Doran.
Also playing his first game as goalkeeper for Ballymackey since u12’s Dylan Carroll looked like he’d never been away plucking the ball out of the sky with ease and pick out players with excellent distribution of the ball setting us on the attack on a number of occasions in the course of keeping a clean sheet
Well done to all players involved tonight where everyone that played made a significant contribution to what was a great victory and a great start to the season.
