Ballymackey U19 girls played their penultimate League game away to Lough Derg in Clarisford Park. 2 goals from April Slevin and 2 goals from Amber De Lewis gave a hard working Ballymackey a 0-4 lead at the break
. Ballymackey kept the tempo high in the second half and DeLewis added a further 3 goals in the second half, her final effort in stoppage time from outside the box the pick of a five goal haul with left foot, right foot and headed finishes in the set. The score line was most unkind to a competitive Derg side that fought to the final whistle. Efficiency in finishing from the visitors was the big difference in the match. A very good performance from all 14 Ballymackey girls, with the workrate phenomenal throughout. Shauna Egan was to the fore in Defence with impeccable reading of the play. Amber DeLewis was her lethal best in attack and the player of the Match was Thia McCarthy with an all action display of workrate and composed possession play.
