U12 Girls V Nenagh Celtic

Our U12's played in the first round of the cup today in Ballinree. Nenagh Celtic were the opposition and conditions were good. In goals was Katie Hartnett. Our backs were Eva Bailey, Lily Dunne, Aisling Ryan and Clara Kennedy. In midfield were Caoimhe Manley, Holly Fitzpatrick, Kate England, Amy Keogh and Maeve Quinn. Upfront was Callie Mitchell.
The started with a lively tempo and both teams looked like they'd score any minute. After about 10 minutes it was Ballymackey doing all the pressing and putting all the pressure on, with near misses coming in thick and fast. We eventually broke the deadlock from a spot kick, Caoimhe Manley slotting it away. We scored again shortly after through Callie Mitchell to leave it 2 nil at the break. Shortly after the restart, we scored again and were on top at this stage. In the end we won out by 7 goals to 1 with Callie Mitchell picking up a hat trick of goals. Also scoring for us was Lily, Holly and Eva.
Our player of the match went to Callie. All of our girls played very well and credit to Nenagh Celtic, they kept giving it everything.
