U13 Girls V Killavilla

We played Killavilla away at 1pm today.
We thought pitches would be unplayable today but you wouldn't think it rained over there such was the good condition of their pitch.
Coming over to Killavilla is always tough and today wasn't any different. Our girls played as well as they could and stayed in the game for a long period. Holly and Eva were brilliant in central defence and were well assisted by Kate McGrath and Amy-Louise O'Dwyer. Molly O'Brien and Anna Gleeson were extremely busy in midfield keeping Killavilla out and setting up attacks. Caoimhe Manley simply doesn't stop working and had a brilliant game. On the other side was Carly Kenneally who is only coming back to us but showed some good form and worked really hard all through. Our 2 girls up front Lily Murphy and Bethany Starr didn't have too many opportunities but both girls worked hard and done what they could. Emily Ryan was very tenacious when she came on and along with Clodagh Kinsella, is improving the whole time. Over all though, we were up against a very good side in Killavilla. These girls were very comfortable on the ball and played some beautiful soccer. Credit to them.
We're still improving as a team and are getting there!
The score was 6 nil against us but there was some very good performances on our side, notably, Caoimhe Manley, Katie Hartnett brilliant again in goals. Molly and Anna in midfield, Eva and Holly super also but our stand girl today was probably Kate McGrath who had a lot to do on her side. She was brilliant throughout!
Well done to all our girls.
Well done too to Killavilla!
Thanks to our ref today also.
