Ballymackey u14 girls welcomed Lough Derg to Ballymackey this morning for an early morning kick off, that finished in a 1-1 draw. the game started even enough with few chances for both sides, about 20 mins in Lough Derg were awarded a penalty which they scored to take the lead, a few minutes later it could have been two but for a great save by Emma o connell. As the half wore on Ballymackey came more into with Anna Gleeson to the forefront. Into the second half and ballymackey pushed for an equaliser, Charlotte Deegan came close when she shaved the outside of the post. With about 10 minutes left olivia Looby picked up a loose goal kick and fired home to equalise. The game ebbed and flowed but no more goals. Emma o connell made some fine saves in goals, Isabelle Ryan and Abigail Armstrong were excellent in defense, lily Kate kenneally controlled the midfield throughout.
