Ballymackey Women had a 4-0 win at home to Killeigh Rovers in the CCFL League. Ballymackey started the match well, putting pressure on the Killeigh goal and took the lead on 15 minutes when good play put Allison McDonnell in space wide right and she produced a great cross which Christine Morrow finished to the net. The lead was doubled on 25 minutes when Chloe Whyte scored after good work by Joanne O Brien. 10 Minutes into the second half Nicola Zarina put more distance between the sides scoring with her first touch having just been introduced as a sub. Christine Morrow scored Ballymackey's 4th with minutes remaining bravely contesting a ball with the visitors keeper. Good performance by the girls who worked hard throughout. There were stand out displays from Aoibhín Delaney, Darra Bourke and our player of the match Joanne O Brien who covered every blade of grass on the pitch in an all action display.
