Ballymackey u14 girls were back in league action with a home game to Lough Derg, Ballymackey were slow out of the blocks and were two down inside 15 minutes. Ballymackey settled and started to play some lovely football with Olivia Fitzpatrick, Mioda o shea, Lexi Wynne Saoirse Ryan to the fore. A free kick outside the box was expertly dispatched to the corner of the net by Lexi Wynne to pull one back, a few minutes later Lexi got her second and it was even better than the first Mioda o shea took a corner which Lexi controlled and swiveled all in one movement to fire home, just before half time Mioda o shea controlled a ball in the box and finished into the corner of the net. Into the second half and ballymackey were on top and scored a fourth when a Lexi Wynne corner were turned into their own net by a Lough Derg player. Ballymackey took their foot off the pedal after that and let Lough Derg back into the game who scored two goals in quick succession to level the scores With only 6 minutes left. It looked like two points dropped at that stage but Mioda o shea had different ideas she scored her second with a long range shot from outside the box and then completed her hat trick when she raced onto an Olivia Fitzpatrick long free kick to fire home and make the game safe for ballymackey.
