Ballymackey Under 16 girls lost 2-1 at home to Birdhill. A rusty performance from the girls who to their credit tried to work the ball through the thirds of the field. Some lovely football at times but plain to see that we are only just back training. An entertaining match never the less with all the girls having great moments. Phoebe Sage who has not much experience playing up a year with this team was outstanding and showed how valuable she could be at U16. Chelsea White grabbed our goal from a smashing free kick making it a goal scoring debut for her as Captain. Team Anna Grace, Katie Ryan, Devlyn Spillane, Chloe McAuliffe, Kelsey Hogan, Chelsea White, Maria Moroney, Andrea Brennan, Ellie Troy and Phoebe Sage. A special mention to Referee Tony Canning this was his third match of the day in Ballinree and he was as energetic and enthusiastic in the 80th minute of his 3rd match as he was in the 1st minute of match 1.
